The private equity firm said Mark Genender will be amanaging director in the consumer and retail group. Genendercomes to Carlyle from Star Avenue Capital. He will be based inNew York and begin his duties in early June.
The law firm said Paul Huey-Burns has joined theWashington, D.C., office as a partner. Huey-Burns will practicewith the firm’s securities litigation and enforcement and whitecollar defense and investigations client service groups.
Citigroup’s Citi Private Bank said Bryon Botsford joined asmanaging director and ultra high net worth private banker andThomas Arrington joined as director and investment counselor.Both previously worked with Barclays Plc affiliate (BARC.L)Barclays Wealth.
Moelis said John Joliet and Brian Webber have joined thefirm as managing directors based in Los Angeles. They willexpand the firm’s coverage of the technology sector. Bothpreviously worked at UBS AG (UBSN.VX).
The law firm said it added Hamid Rafatjoo as a bankruptcypartner in Los Angeles. He joins Venable from Los Angelesbankruptcy boutique Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP.
MORGAN STANLEY (MS.N)
The financial services major named Petri Kivinen managingdirector of fixed income capital markets for Central andEastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA), effectiveimmediately. Kivinen, who will be based in London, joins fromRenaissance Capital.
STATE STREET GLOBAL ADVISORS
The investment management business of State Street Corp(STT.N) promoted Lynn Blake to global head of index equity.Blake was earlier head of non-U.S. markets in the globalstructured products group.
